Under-fire Kenichi Yatsuhashi remains in-charge of Hearts of Oak for Sunday’s Ghana Premier League trip to Obuasi to face AshantiGold.
There were rumours in local media on Friday morning that the Japanese coach had been given the heave-ho but that has been dispelled.
Yatsuhashi met the leadership of the National Chapters Committee, the umbrella body for Hearts supporters to narrate his side of the story for going public on some confidential club stories.
A board member who spoke exclusively to GHANASoccernet.com on the condition of anonymity revealed that, the coach is still at post.
He said: "It’s never true that Kenichi has been told to step aside. He remains our coach and will be going to Obuasi with the team.
"But I must admit that we are prepared for the worst should he tell us he can’t continue."
