If there is any inspirational from being watched by Jose Mourinho from the stands while you are playing then Ghana winger Albert Adomah got his on Saturday afternoon.

The 27-year-old wideman celebrated scoring at the Amex Stadium with the sacked Chelsea watching from the stands.

Adomah diverted in Daniel Ayala's header to make it 2-0 at half-time and Cristhian Stuani nodded in from close range after the break to seal victory.

Adomah and his team-mates probably received the news of Mourinho's presence for the game moments before kick-off in the dressing room as he appeared to have showed up to offer support to his former Real Madrid number 2 Aitor Karanka who manages the Boro.

The Portuguese gaffer proceeded to meet Adomah and his team-mates in the Middlesbrough dressing room and congratulated for the emphatic win which had taken them to the top of the Championship table.

While Mourinho was spending time with Middlesbrough players after his win, Chelsea fans at the Stamford Bridge were seriously jeering their own players and chanting the game manager who appears to have been sabotaged by the players who remain at the club.

Mourinho's agency has released a statement declaring the former Inter Milan manager will not attend any top-flight games. Which could mean he more appearances at Middlesbrough games before he is finally 'given' the Manchester United job which has been strongly linked to.

Adomah's strike was his third of the season for the new league leaders.
