Officials of Greek side Veria FC have exclusively revealed to Ghanasoccernet.com that they are in the dark about the widely publicized friendly with dethroned Ghana League Champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The Porcupine Warriors have announced January 3 as the date for the friendly to commemorate their 80th Anniversary but Manager of the Greece side Georgios Georgiadis insists they know nothing about the game.

The much-anticipated friendly was expected to come off last month but was postponed due to Veria FC’s inability to show up.

Georgiadis who was a member of the 2004 European Championship winning team was very optimistic of the friendly encounter but has emphatically stated that the team is not aware of the highly publicized game.

In an exclusive interview with Ghanasoccernet.com, Georgiadis said “I don't know nothing my friend. I don't know if we will come to Ghana. I don’t know anything.”

“I knew we were coming to Ghana in November but cannot tell whether we will come back for the game. My leaders have not said anything to me and the players don’t know anything about the game,” the manager added.

It is however unclear whether the Greece side will be presenting their junior side as the relegation threatened side will be playing a match on the 2nd and 4th of January in the Greece Super Lig.
