VfB Stuttgart has exercised its purchase option to secure the services of German-born Ghanaian attacker Jamie Leweling permanently, according to a report by Bild.
The 23-year-old attacker, who is contracted to FC Union Berlin until 2026, will join the Swabians for a fee of around five million euros and sign a four-year deal.
Leweling has been an ever-present figure for VfB this season.
After a slow start, the Ghanaian found his form in front of goal in the second half of the campaign, scoring four goals and providing four assists since matchday 17. In total, he has made 33 appearances in the Bundesliga this season.
VfB Stuttgart currently occupies third place in the league table with 70 points after 33 games. The Swabians will conclude their season with a home fixture against Gladbach at the MHP Arena on May 18th.
With Leweling's impressive performances and contribution to the team, VfB Stuttgart will be looking to build on their success next season and challenge for top honours in the Bundesliga.
