Vipers congratulates Nyantakyi on his new position

Cape Coast, Jan 6, GNA - The management of Cape Coast Venomous Vipers have sent a message of congratulations to Mr Kwasi Nyantakyi on his election as President of the Ghana Football Association. (GFA) Mr Kwaku Tandoh, Chairman of Vipers in a congratulatory message appealed to the President-elect to tap the rich experience of his other contestants, especially Mr Yusif Adam Ibrahim and Mr Kojo Bonsu in ensure the success of his administration.

He also appealed to the Executive Committee of the GFA to consider nominating Mr Matthew Doe, the Central Regional Chairman of GFA as the Vice President.

Mr Tandoh said Mr Doe has a wealth of experience in football administration and has been in the helm of affairs for the past 20 years.

The Chairman however, used the occasion to express concern that the three-man inspection team of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) failed to visit Cape Coast to inspect the proposed site there that has already been cleared for the construction of a stadium for the CAN 2008 tournament.

Mr Tandoh said Cape Coast being the cradle of Ghana soccer and considering the large students' population in the Municipality in the first, second and tertiary institutions constitute a big human resource for sports development and the construction of a modern stadium would not be out of place.

He has in this regard appealed to the team to visit Cape Coast as a matter of urgency to enable the project to start on time.
