Visa problem stops Joetex ....

...from Senegal friendly in London

Ghanaian international, Joetex Frimpong, has said that he will be unavailable for the international friendly against Senegal's Teranga Lions, due to visa problems.

The Ghanaian disclosed this www.ghanaweb.com shortly after helping his Nigerian club Enyimba, to secure an important point in Nigerian League match played at the Onikan, Stadium, Lagos, last Saturday.

"I was invited, but there is no way I can play the match because of visa problem. As a result, I made contacts with the GFA to let them know the situation.

"We have a good team and I am confident of a good result against the Teranga Lions," he said.

The Enyimba FC of Aba star warmed his way into the hearts of the Serbian coach, Ratomir Dujkovic and fans with an impressive outing despite making his Black Stars debut as a substitute against Burkina-Faso in a World Cup and Nations Cup qualifier, in Kumasi.

His form on match day where he got a penalty for Ghana shortly after his introduction earned him a starting place in the squad that beat South-Africa 2-0 in Johanessburg.

Joetex is the leading scorer in the 2005 African Champions League with eight goals and has an All-Time eight 14 goals in the competition after scoring six in 2003.

He has entered the history books as the first Ghanaian to win the CAF Champions League back-to-back.

The match, fixed for Wednesday, August 17, at Brentford, Central London, is part of preparations by both countries for their respective impending World Cup qualifiers.
