All is set for the commencement of the Volta Regional Division Two League, the RFA has announced. The league which is expected to start on Saturday 11th April, 2013 has 64 clubs participating. In a statement delivered by the Volta Regional RFA Chairman, Francis Dogbatse disclosed that “clubs have already validated their player’s licenses and all is ready to begin the long awaited Division Two League”. The 64 clubs are divided into three sectors namely Northern, Central and Southern to compete for promotion into the National Division One League. The Northern sector comprises Zones A,B,C whiles the Central has A,B,C,D,E with the Southern sector divided into two sub Zones (A and B) which both has A,B,C,D. Mr. Francis Dogbatse further stated that “a club in each zone qualifies to play in the sector middle league by the virtue of its position as placing first in the various zones standing after the league”. George Deku, Chairman of the Organizing Committee said officiating fees are pegged at eighty Ghana cedis (80.00) which include their transportation. He therefore tasked the home teams to ensure that they pay officiating fees by close of Thursday in each match week. Mr. Deku reminded participating teams that pre match conferences are mandatory.
