Ghana Black Stars B trainer Maxwell Konadu has been presented with a herculean task of naming his starting eleven to face Burkina Faso on Friday following the arrival of players of Asante Kotoko.

Ahead of the crunch encounter with Burkina Faso, it remains to be seen whether Coach Maxwell Konadu will give the contingent from Kotoko a chance in the team after most of the players who played on matchday one impressed.

The contingent from the Porcupine Warriors joined the side after their CAF Champions League game with Etoile Du Sahel on Sunday in Tunisia.

The defending champions began their title defense with a 1-0 win over Gambia thanks to a 66th-minute effort from Joseph Esso which earned the team a place in the quarter-final of the competition to set up their clash with Burkina Faso.

The game against Gambia was dominated by players from Hearts of Oak which included Mohammed Alhassan, Joseph Esso, Benjamin Afutu and Mohammed Fatawu as did Ashantigold’s Appiah McCarthy, captain of the team Shafiu Mumuni, James Akaminko and Latif Anabila with players from Kumasi Asante Kotoko having to settle on the bench after joining camp hours before the game.

Konadu is handed the difficult task of either fusing in the Kotoko players or sticking to the side that pipped Gambia.

The game will be played at the Stade Lat Dior on Friday, 4th October, 2019.

Kick-off is at 8:00pm Ghana time.
