Ex-Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah will appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the Black Stars’ 2014 World Cup campaign Thursday, September 25.

The 54-year-old is giving evidence alongside ex-Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah – one of his backroom staff at the global football festival.

The two former Ghana players have acknowledged receipt of letters requiring their attendance at the inquiry in the capital, Accra, after an abysmal World Cup campaign.

The Black Stars boycotted training sessions and revolted against officials over the payment of appearance fees. It was their worst-ever campaign in Ghana’s World Cup history after finishing bottom of their group with a point. Two midfielders Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari were expelled from the Black Stars camp for assaulting officials.

Meanwhile, officials of the Ghana FA - Fred Pappoe, Fred Crentsil among others – will be giving evidence to the Presidential Commission of Inquiry Tuesday, September 23.

The three-man Commission has already taken evidence from the former minister of youth and sports Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah and other officials of the World Cup organising team in the West African country.
