Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso, is confident he will succeed with Celtic this season despite seeing little of game time since signing on.
Wakaso, 24, got back to club action last Wednesday when he played 45 minutes in Celtic’s 1-0 loss to St. Johnstone the first since his return to the club after an impressive AFCON competition where he helped Ghana to a second place finish.
The former Villarreal striker had a golden start to his Celtic career with a virtuous strike on his debut but has since fallen down the pecking order due to injury and national commitment.
Despite seeing little football Wakaso is confident, when-ever he is called upon he will deliver as he should.
“Football is strange. All you can do as a professional is to keep your head up and continue working hard,” Wakaso told Ghanasoccernet.com
“I am always ready to help the team in any way and the coach knows that.
“There are a lot of games to be played and I am confident that I will contribute to help the team maintain the lead.”
Celtic are top of the Scottish league with 63 points six better off second place Aberdeen.
