Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris finally made a return from suspension to feature in Lorient’s 3-0 triumph over Dijon in the French League Cup on Tuesday.

Waris was serving a six-match ban from the French FA after his disruptive behavior in a League match against Guingamp.

The Ghanaian international was sent off after an insigne tackle on Guingamp attacker Jimmy Briand.

The striker showed gross insubordination while leaving the pitch by kicking a water bottle in the face of his technical bench.

The French FA after a careful look at the situation decided to suspend the striker for at least six games instead of the initial three matches.

The former BK Hacken attacker finally returned to the pitch to help his side advance to the next round of the Coupe de France after the victory over Dijon.

Walid Mesloub, Romain Philippoteaux and Benjamin Jeannot were on target for Sylvain Ripoll’s side with the Ghanaian lasting the entire duration of the game.
