Ghana striker, Abdul Majeed Waris stole the show when Valenciennes beat Nice 2-1 at the Stade du Hainaut on Saturday.
Waris who is on a short-term loan deal from Russian side, Spartak Moscow was heavily involved in the hard fought win for Ariél Jacobs’ side.
The former BK Hacken striker first assisted Tongo Doumbia to break the deadlock in the 26th minute before scoring the winner in the 88th minute after the away side had scored in the 75th minute.
That was the second goal for Waris in five matches for the French side.
