The former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, showcased his vocal talent during the launch of All Regional Games at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The esteemed retired footballer took the stage within the stadium and mesmerized the audience with his performance, starting with the hit song "Do The Dance," a collaboration with the late musician, Castro, and ending with "African Girls."
As Gyan sang, the crowd was visibly moved by his melodies, with many joining in and cheering along.
After his performance, the ex-Black Stars skipper thanked the attendees for their support, acknowledging that other artistes were waiting to perform as well.
"We appreciate everyone who came out. If I keep singing, the other artistes might outshine me, so I'll end here," Gyan humorously said in Twi, as captured in a video shared by blogger Kokoba on YouTube.
Following Gyan's performance, Ghanaian comedian Funny Face, shirtless, took the stage to dance and entertain the crowd.
Meanwhile, the highly anticipated All Regional Games, a project led by Gyan in collaboration with various sports authorities, kicked off on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The goal of the event is to sustain the excitement generated by the recent African Games hosted by Ghana.
During the launch of the games, Asamoah Gyan emphasized that the All Regional Games are meant to provide a platform for talented Ghanaians to showcase their skills.
The event will feature competitions in nine different sports, including football, athletics, and esports.
