The underwhelming performance of the Black Stars in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations continues as they labored for a draw against the Falcons of Jediane of Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

With no wins in their first two matches, the Black Stars were under pressure to beat Sudan at home, but skipper Mohammed Kudus and his colleagues could not achieve their target.

Despite total dominance, the Black Stars could not break the strong Sudanese defense, with Mohammed Kudus, Inaki Williams, and Antoine Semenyo being the chief culprits of the profligacy.

Semenyo, in particular, had decent chances in the first half and early part of the second half but could not convert those chances.

Mohammed Kudus and Inaki Williams were at fault for missing the biggest chance of the game. In the second half, Inaki Williams failed to connect a cross to put Ghana ahead.

In that same sequence of play, the ball fell to Mohammed Kudus, who was two feet away from the gaping net but, due to some inexplicable reasons, missed the opportunity.

The Black Stars now have two points from three games, drawing two and losing one of the three matches played so far.

Up next for the Black Stars is an away fixture against Libya, with a win becoming a non-negotiable result for the team.
