Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, concluded their preparations for the game against Angola with an intense training session at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
All 24 players took part in the training session, which was open to the public. The team began with stretches and light exercises before moving into the main part of the session. Otto Addo supervised the training, which featured a highly competitive practice match with players giving their best.
The players who participated in the training included Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Inaki Williams, Joseph Paintsil, Abdul Mumin, Jerome Opoku, Kingsley Schindler, Alidu Seidu, Majeed Ashimeru, Abu Francis, Mohammed Salisu, Forson Amankwah, and Mohammed Kudus, who arrived after the initial training session in Accra.
The squad also featured Frederick Asare and Joseph Wollacott, as well as Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Thomas Partey, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Ebenezer Annan, Jonas Adjetey, Tariq Lamptey, and Ibrahim Osman.
Elisha Owusu and Jordan Ayew, who joined the team on Tuesday, were also part of the training on Wednesday.
Ghana will face Angola on Thursday, September 5, before travelling to Berkane, Morocco, for their second Group F match against Niger on Monday, September 9, 2024.
