Ghanaian light-heavyweight boxer Seth Gyimah, also known as Freezy Macbones, emerged victorious over Ibrahim Labaran in a "Power of the Fight" match at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday, June 29, 2024.
Freezy secured the win with a fourth-round technical knockout after Labaran, who initially seemed to have the upper hand, fell due to shoulder pain.
Unable to continue, Labaran's injury led to Freezy's fourth professional boxing career victory.
The 33-year-old has now won all four of his professional fights, with three ending in knockouts.
Freezy's only loss occurred during his amateur career when Senegalese boxer Seydou Konate defeated him in August 2023 at the 2024 Paris Olympics qualifiers in Dakar, Senegal.
For Ibrahim Labaran, this defeat marks his ninth loss in 24 matches, with 15 wins and 13 knockouts (KOs).
The event showcased the prowess of Ghanaian boxers and aimed to propel them onto the global stage.
Ayitey Powers, a former WBC International titleholder and current President of the Voice of Ghana Professional Boxers has expressed his dedication to helping local fighters achieve international success.
According to him, this initiative marks the beginning of a regular series of bouts designed to keep boxers active and in peak condition.
The event, organized in joint partnership with Game TV, featured a series of thrilling matches across various weight classes.
