Some angry fans resorted to destroying properties and throwing missiles at the Baba Yara Stadium after the Black Stars suffered a shocking 1-0 defeat to Angola in their opening match of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Angolans picked up their first three points in the AFCON qualifiers and ended Ghana’s 24-year unbeaten record at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Milson won the game for the visitors with a last-minute goal, sending the home fans into despair.

Shortly after the goal, some fans walked out of the stadium in great disappointment due to the lacklustre performance by the Black Stars.

However, the fans who stayed behind after the final whistle took matters into their own hands by throwing water bottles onto the pitch.

Some fans invaded the pitch and vandalised several advertising panels and other property.

The military and the police later restored order after storming the pitch in large numbers to disperse the irate fans.
