Accra Hearts of Oak secured a vital 2-0 win against Nations FC in their Ghana Premier League Week 32 clash on Friday evening at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The victory marks a return to winning ways for Hearts, who were languishing in 15th place with 38 points before the match. Nations FC, sitting in 4th place with 48 points, were favourites but struggled to control the game.
The match saw Hearts take an early lead, with Kassim Cisse scoring in the 10th minute, assisted by Dennis Korsah. Hamza Issah doubled the advantage in the 15th minute, giving Hearts a comfortable cushion. Despite multiple substitutions and attempts to regain midfield control, Nations FC couldn’t break through Hearts' solid defence.
The game included key substitutions: Seidu Suraj, Yaw Amankwah Baafi, Enock Asubonteng, and Salifu Ibrahim came in for Accra Hearts of Oak.
Hearts of Oak will face Accra Great Olympics next, while Nations FC will play Bechem United.
