Hearts of Oak staged a late comeback against Accra Lions in an entertaining matchday 15 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.
Hearts of Oak's super-sub Mawuli Wayo came off the bench to score two late goals, completing a 3-2 comeback victory in Sogakope on Sunday, December 29, 2024.
Mohammed Hussein and Wayo were on the scoresheet for the visitors with Lucky Nwafor and Ezekiel Alladoh getting the consolation goals for the Lions.
Hearts of Oak have now won six out of seven games against Accra Lions, losing only one.
Despite the win, Aboubakar Ouattara's side remains in sixth place on the league table with 25 points, while Accra Lions are in 16th place with 13 points after suffering their sixth defeat of the season.
