Songne Yacouba bagged a brace as Kumasi Asante Kotoko recorded a 2-1 victory over Aduana Stars in Week 15 of the Zylofon Cash Premier League.

The Burkinabe import was at his dazzling best, scoring two beautiful goals to give the Porcupines an important victory over the league champions.

He scored in each half to hand the Porcupine Warriors priceless victory despite Aduana's dominant display.

Yacouba’s first goal came from a free kick he beautifully converted in the 7th minute. Kotoko had a free kick few metres from the penalty yard. The silky midfielder who is gradually becoming the toast of the Kotoko fans sent a low drive beyond the reach of goalkeeper Joseph Addo.

The game then swung in favour of the Porcupines who tried unsuccessfully to add some goals before the game went on recess. Aduana Stars’ scored but was ruled offside to the relief of the Kotoko boys.

Yacouba struck again in the 47th minutes to give Kotoko their second of the day, killing Aduana’s hopes of getting a favourable scoreline from the Baba Yara Stadium.
An unmarked Yacouba slotted home from close range after a fine low cross from midfielder Prince Acuqah.

Aduana was, however, given a lifeline when Bright Adjei pulled one back on 67 minutes.

They pressured Kotoko's defence with coach Yusif Abubakar brining on Yahaya Mohammed and Uba Ikama.
