West Ham United forward, Mohammed Kudus, started the new season with a blistering performance against Aston Villa on matchday one of the 2024/2025 Premier League.

Although West Ham lost their season opener, Kudus was the standout performer during the 2-1 defeat at the London Stadium on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

Amadou Onana opened the scoring for Villa before Lucas Paqueta pulled the home side level from the spot before half-time. Substitute Jhon Duran snatched all three points for the visitors with a gorgeous finish late in the second half.

Mohammed Kudus played the entire match, completing with the most dribbles and most duels won. He was also the most fouled player.

The Ghanaian created two big chances in the game: a beautiful rabona cross to Soucek, who could not find the right connection to put West Ham ahead, and another in the dye embers for the Czech midfielder who, this time blasted it over the crossbar from inside the box.

West Ham United will visit Crystal Palace for their second game of the new season on Saturday, August 24.
