16-year-old Lamine Yamal led the charge as Spain edged France in an exciting encounter in the semi-final of the 2024 Euros in Germany on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.
The two-time European champions beat Frace 2-1 at the Allianz Arena to book a spot in the final, winning their sixth game of the tournament.
France took an early lead through Kolo Mauni who headed home from a delightful Kylian Mbappe cross from the left.
Despite going on in the opening 10 minutes, Spain turned the game on its head scoring two goals in 4 minutes.
Yamal pulled la Roja level with a goal of the tournament contender when he found the top left corner with a stunning curler from outside the box in the 21st minute.
Spain claimed the lead four minutes later through Dani Olmo who expertly finished off a fine attacking from inside the box.
Spain managed to see the game off, holding on to their first-half lead to progress to the finals.
They will face either England or the Netherlands who lock horns in the semi-final two on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
