Former Ghana international, Prince Tagoe, has expressed his frustration with the current state of the Hearts of Oak, admitting that watching their matches has become a painful experience.
Despite a recent 3-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea, Hearts of Oak's season has been marred by a series of defeats in the Ghana Premier League.
In an interview on Angel TV, the former Hearts of Oak player lamented that "Most of the Hearts of Oak players are not performing to the expected standard."
He added, “The boys don’t have that character and vigour to win matches. I don’t know what their problem is because your salary is always paid on time. The owner of the club has money and makes sure he provides all your needs.”
He added, “As an ex-player, it's painful anytime I watch Hearts of Oak matches.”
Currently, Hearts of Oak sits 11th on the league table, trailing Asante Kotoko by two points.
