Joseph Ndoko, head coach for the Cameroonian National female football team, has said they are ready to beat Nigeria in their first semi-final of the ongoing African Women’s Cup (AWCON) 2018 at the Accra Sports Stadium, to make up for the past defeats.

According to Ndoko, they came into the tournament with an aim of beating any team on their way to qualify for the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) Women’s world cup in France 2019.

“We came here with an aim of playing five games to qualify for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France and we are ready to beat any country that come our way.

“We would not change anything going into this game, we are just focused and we are going to avenge to our two previous loses in 2014 and 2016” he said.

Coach Ndoko answering questions on the motivation for his team to urge Nigeria out said though Nigeria was a force to reckon with when it comes to female football on the continent, his team was poised to for the action.

“Our motivation for tomorrow’s game is within us, we are professional players and we know the motivation to win this game is with us and nobody else”.

Ndoko moved to quash rumours that his team have been agitating about unpaid bonuses saying “we are not looking at our federation or officers before we win our games, we know we have to win first and the rest would be sorted out”.
