Acceler8z FC head coach, Obed Boahen has dismissed any fears about facing Asante Kotoko at the iconic Baba Yara Stadium.
Speaking ahead of their highly anticipated FA Cup clash on Sunday, January 12th, Boahen exuded confidence in his team’s ability to rise to the occasion.
The game, set to pit Acceler8z FC, a Division Two side from the Ashanti Region, against the seasoned Premier League giants, promises a thrilling underdog story. Despite the odds, Boahen believes his team is unfazed by the venue or the stature of their opponents.
“It is not a disadvantage because the stadium is a national stadium and not Kumasi Asante Kotoko's home. They train somewhere and play there. We also train somewhere, and the boys are in secondary too; they play Milo games there, so it will not be a disadvantage for us,” Boahen told Happy FM.
With such a bold stance, Acceler8z FC aims to defy expectations and create magic at the Baba Yara Stadium.
