Bankroller of Aduana Stars Nana Agyemang Badu II has indicated that his club believes in free and fair play and that has been their driving force.
The Fire Club who were crowned League champions on Sunday have recently being chastised by officials of other teams for greesing the palms of referees to let decisions go in their favour during games.
The Paramount Chief of Dormaa Ahenkro who also doubles as the owner of Aduana Stars refuted allegations that they influence referees who handle their games as he insisted they played and won the league on fair grounds.
“Aduana believes in fair play and truly speaking, if you don’t buy quality players like we do you cannot compete with us. “Nana Agyemang Badu II told the Press after the coronation.
“For the past three years, our worst position on the league table is third and it tells you how consistent we are. It surprises me that when we win, some people say it is the referees who robbed them but what I know is that referees can not win league for you when you do not have the quality.”
“We have the quality and experienced players who have played together for so long and with the quality and consistency we deserve to win the league” he ended
Aduana Stars first won the GPL in their maiden season in 2009/2010 season and this sis their second triumph.
