Accra Hearts of Oak Stalwart defender Vincent Atinga has said the Phobians cannot afford to lose on Sunday to bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko in the MTN FA Cup finals at the Tamale sports stadium.

Hearts, having failed to end their nine years trophy drought in the Ghana Premier League this season, will be hoping to beat the Porcupine warriors to enable them secure ticket to compete in next season’s CAF Confederations Cup.

The Black Stars pillar believes his outfit has got a better team capable of beating the Ghana Premier League giants in any crucial battle and has therefore appealed to the Rainbow colors supporters to throng the Tamale Stadium and Sunday to cheer them to what he describes would ‘sweet’ victory’ after the entire regulation time.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with sportsworldGhana.com ahead of the crunchy clash, confident Atinga said ”We know how difficult the game is going to be on Sunday but we are really motivated and determine to win the game on and make our numerous fans happy after the game”.

He continued ”Though Kotoko has also good a good team I believe we are better than them and won’t give them any chance to kill our dream of playing in Africa come next season. We’re ready to battle it all out with them and hope for nothing but victory”.

”But in doing that I believe our supporters have a very big role to play in our quest to beat Kotoko therefore I am appealing to them to come to Tamale in their numbers like they always do and hopefully we will win the trophy to make them proud”.
