Asante Kotoko head coach, Maxwell Konadu has urged his players to play better than what they did against Eleven Wonders if the team is serious about winning the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League title.

Kotoko had a perfect start to their season after a lone goal victory over Techiman based Eleven Wonders at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors will now aim to make it two wins out of two games when they play Legon Cities FC on match day two next weekend.

But it seems Konadu was not impressed with the performance of his team on Sunday and has thus challenged his players to play better than what they did on Sunday before they can be considered as title contenders.

"The season is still young and there are many teams who equally wants to win the league hence we need to be competitive" "We can't continue to play like this and expect to win the league"

"It's early days yet and we can't promise anything but, we know what we can offer our teaming fans, we are also here trying to win the league,” said Konadu at post-match conference.

Konadu who was recently re-appointed head coach of the side has been tasked to win the Premier League title and qualify the club to either the CAF Champions League or the CAF Confederation Cup.
