We didn’t attack any referee – Lord Zico

Bechem United Chief Executive Officer, Kingsley Osei Bonsu popularly known as Lord Zico has rubbished out rumors about they attacking the referee that officiated their match against Sekondi Hasaacas at Bechem and says he will be surprise if the referee state in his report that he was attack by the supporters of the club.

Bechem United drew with Hasaacas after taken an early in the match and the fans of the club attacked the referee according to reports at the end of the match.
“If the referee says the fans of Bechem United attacked him then I will be hugely surprise at him and it will tell me there is no justice in Ghana football and I don’t think the referee will state anything like that in his report.” He told Asempa Sports.

“After the match I saw the referee begin escorted by policemen because the car that has to pick them did not come and at the end of the match, it was the technical bench that we blamed and the supporters of the club booed them because during the game they made the wrong substitution.

“To me it just a mischief some people want to play because the referee did not do anything wrong so what will be our reason to attack him.

He continued, “We should not try to drag our football into mud because it not fair to do that and I don’t even understand all these rumors because we drew with Hasaacas and we have accepted it so I don’t understand why we should go and attack the referee.”

He also revealed that for them to avoid relegation the only thing they have to do, is to get quality players because this has been their worse season as a club.

Bechem United after their drawing with Hasaacas now lies 13th position with 15 points now play Aduana Stars at Dormaa in week 15 fixtures.
