We have league's best players - Didi

They are not among the top five on the league table and they have struggled to bang in the goals, but Kotoko still believe they have the best players in the Ghana Premier League. Despite failing to pick points in their opener against Amidaus, the reds argue that their fixtures have not been easy.

"I think we have the best quality in the league," Mas-Ud Dramani charged after journalists questioned the chemistry in the current setup following some tetchy displays in seven matchdays.

"You can't have a quality midfielder better than Issa Yakubu, [Michael] Akuffu, [Michael] Anaba, and [Michael] Helegbe who can play the final passes. When it comes to that aspect, it is about decision-making, which is by the individual a player. I just think that it's a matter of time."

Rubbishing Laryea's influence

Many post-match analysis on the Super Clash where Hearts held out to draw the reds gave veteran midfielder Laryea Kingston high marks for composure and good gameplay, but Mas-Ud simply disagreed.

"Many of his moves were not positive moves. We were not concentrating on Laryea Kingston, all that we were doing as on our strengths and trying to capitalise on their weaknesses."

"You need to try to work on your team to be able to play good football. You need to defend as a group and individually."

The gaffer took over much of Kotoko's team that slalomed to a win in the last league season, with the notable exception of a few who have left for new challenges.
