We have no idea about Jordan Ayew’s whereabouts - Swansea coach

Jordan Ayew has gone AWOL Jordan Ayew has gone AWOL

Swansea City striker Jordan Ayew is bent on forcing a move away from the Championship side, club manager Graham Potter has revealed.

Having set sights on remaining in the elite division, the Ghana international has resolved to leave Liberty Stadium following the Jack Army's relegation from the Premier League last season.

With seven goals scored last term to finish as the side's top scorer, the 26-year-old certainly does not lack suitors as Celtic, Burnley, Leicester City and Crysta Palace have reportedly expressed interest.

"There's no further news on Jordan - he's just not been here," Swansea boss Potter told BBC Sport Wales in the Ghanaian's absence from training and Saturday's Championship opener at Sheffield United.

"That tells you that he's not part of what we're trying to do, by his own actions.

"It's whether we can get a good enough deal for the club.

"Otherwise, that's going to be an interesting time for him."

Reports say Ayew had agreed personal terms with Palace but Swansea's high asking price has put the move in jeopardy.

The forward, who made 36 league outings involving 33 starts last campaign, joined the Jack Army in January 2017 from Aston Villa.

He played for Olympique Marseille, Lorient and Sochaux in France before moving to England in 2015.
