Ahead of Sunday’s Premier League cliffhanger, Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s striker is already relishing the occasion and hoping to shock Accra Hearts of Oak at their own backyard.
The Phobians host their arch rivals in a crucial battle at the Accra Sports Stadium and the outcome will go a long way to determine their survival in the Capital Plus Premier League.
Toure has vowed to bring down Hearts on Sunday, saying he is prepared than ever to deliver victory to the Porcupine Warriors on Sunday.
The Kumasi lads are looking forward to consolidate their impressive 1-0 win over AshGold at the Baba Yara Stadium last Sunday in their quest to beat the relegation trap.
Hearts of Oak have endured an equally torrid campaign with relegation staring them closely.
But Toure, who chose Kotoko ahead of Hearts this season after playing for the Phobians during the offseason, insists they will add to the woes of the Phobians on Sunday.
“Whenever Hearts of Oak play against Kotoko every player wants to give off his best because it’s a big occasion,” Toure stated.
“We know that Hearts are in difficult times but we are also aware that we need to pick up points to be able to remain competitive.
“So, we focused on picking up all three points on the day to improve our chances of survival”, he stressed.
