We’ll turn things around - Baba

Chelsea left-back Baba Rahman is confident the club will get back to winning ways following a faltering first half of the 2015-16 English Premier League season amid reports of camp mutiny.

The Blues, currently placed a disappointing 15thon the league log, parted ways with manager Jose Mourinho on Thursday following an earlier 2-1 loss to Leicester City – the club’s ninth league defeat in 16 matches.

Although former manager Guus Hiddink has been appointed on a short-term deal for the remainder of the season, it was deputy coach Steve Holland who supervised the side’s 3-1 thrashing of Sunderland on Saturday.

“We have the fans behind us and with the new manager coming, we’re going to turn things around,” Baba told Sky Sports.

“The mood, I will say, is not so usual like before because of what happened but then we’re just looking forward to the future and putting things together.

“We are very much together and we hold dinner sessions together often and we don’t have any problems with each other.”

Baba joined Chelsea in August after making 31 appearances for Augsburg in the German Bundesliga.

He has put up nine appearances in all competitions including four Premier League outings and three Uefa Champions League games.

Chelsea will play next Watford at Stamford Bridge in a Boxing Day encounter.
