The Ghana Football Association (GFA) committee member, Winfred Osei Kweku affectionately called Palmer has underscored that Ghana’s final 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Egypt was moved to Cape Coast Stadium so that every Ghanaian can have a feel of the Black Stars.

According to him, ”The players of the Black Stars in the last few years have been moaning about the nature of the country’s pitches and he is hopeful that the Cape Coast Stadium is the best they can play on.”

Mr. Osei who spoke to Footballmadeinghana.com, said that, ”We want every Ghana to have a feel of the Black Stars..When we play at one place we tend to lose supporters so we have to rotate.”

He added that, ”The players complain about the nature of the pitches. Cape Coast pitch is currently the best in the country..The WAFU competition was successfully played there and the pitch is in good condition.”

The Black Stars will take on Egypt on November, 12, 2017 at the Cape Coast Stadium in the final of the FIFA 2018 World Cup Qualifier.

The Pharoahs booked their placed to next year’s Mundial in Russia after beating Congo Brazzaville 2-1 in Cairo in October 2017.
