Black Starlets coach Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin says his side are almost through with preparations for upcoming 2017 U-17 FIFA World Cup in India.
The two-time world champions have been pitted in Group A alongside host country India, Colombia and USA in the tournament that will kick start next month.
The team have been in camp for the past month at the Ghanaman Soccer of Excellence Centre in Prampram as they sharpen their rough edges before enplaning to India.
And according to the experienced trainer, his charges are 70% through with preparations for the competition.
“The team is 70 per cent ready for the tournament and the rest will be fulfilled during the tour to set the team for the opening game against South American giants Colombia.”
The burly gaffer noted that since resuming camp after the African championship, the team has been augmented with some new faces he believes will help the team achieve the desired results with WAFA striker Richard Danso one of the notable additions.
While in Denmark the team will be joined by a member of the silver winning side from the Gabon tournament, midfielder Sulley Ibrahim who is on a two weeks trial stint with German giants FC Bayern Munich.
Also coach Fabin is expecting former WAFA center forward Aminu Mohammed who now plied his trade with Red Bull Salzburg as well as two other unnamed players from Right To Dream Academy.
