The Phobians narrowly avoided relegation with a thrilling 3-2 comeback victory against Bechem United on the final day of the Ghana Premier League season.

However, their woes continued as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Asante Kotoko in the inaugural Democracy Cup clash at the Accra Sports Stadium, marking their third consecutive loss to the Porcupine Warriors.

In an interview with Akoma FM following the defeat, Hearts Of Oak Board Member, Sowah Odotei expressed confidence in the board's ability to stage a strong comeback, stating, “We continue to review things, and I am confident that given the caliber of people on the board, we will bounce back strongly.

“We will soon announce our new signings, we are putting things together to ensure that we make the best decision for the club.

“Hearts is always supposed to win, so we will go back to the drawing board and ensure that we do what is necessary to make us more competitive for the following season.”
