Emmanuel Keyekeh, midfielder for Samartex FC, has revealed that the team realized very early in the season that they would win the Ghana Premier League title.

Speaking to journalists after the final game of the season, the former Asante Kotoko midfielder mentioned that the team started believing in their potential after Week 4.

According to him, lifting the Ghana Premier League title eventually did not come as a surprise to any of the players.

"We are not surprised at all by the Premier League victory. We know the work that was put into it during pre-season and even training. So we know, but this is not a surprise," Emmanuel Keyekeh stated.

The highly-rated midfielder continued, "The target is to keep winning games, and that's what we will do. We will keep working hard and hope the fans will support us as much as they did this season to deliver in Africa and Ghana."

After winning the Ghana Premier League title, Samartex FC will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League next season.
