Minister of Youth and Sports Nii Lantey Vanderpuye has revealed his intension of cutting down the amount of money spent on the Black Stars and scraping bonuses for members of the management team.

Nii Lantey Vanderpuye who has succeeded in getting the Black Stars reduce their bonus structure from ten thousand dollars ( $ 10,000) to eight thousand dollars ( $ 8,000) says there is the urgent need to drastically cut down on all those feeding off the national team:

“Are we a football nation or a sports nation.Too much money, is being spent on the Black Stars to the detriment of other sports,” Nii Lantey Vanderpuye told Citi-sports

” It will be prudent to be able to generate money from the Black Stars to help other sporting disciplines.”

” We need to rise up to our responsibilities if we want our sportsmen and women to be able to compete equally on the international stage.”
