Head coach of Aduana Stars Warrant Officer Paul Tandoh says his team is ready to win the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League title to honour the club’s patron, Nana Agyeman Badu II.
Nana Agyeman Badu II who happens to be the owner of Aduana Stars and the ruler of Dormaa Ahenkro and its environs will mark 20 years of his enstoolment later this year.
The life patron of the club has been very instrumental in the development and growth of the club leading them to two league triumphs in 2009 and 2017.
After their last league title, the Dormaahene honoured the players and technical staff with plots of land.
The Nana Agyeman Badu II Park in Dormaa was also named of the club’s owner for his immense contribution.
The Ogya lads who are aiming for their third title have enjoyed a good start to this season’s campaign and are top of the table with 6 points. They are yet to concede a goal after two games.
Aduana Stars mauled Inter Allies 4-0 at home in the league opener before managing a lone victory over Accra Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
W.O Tandoh in an interview with TV3 revealed the team’s determination to win this season’s title not only as defending champions but also to honour their life patron.
“The Dormaahene is celebrating his twentieth-year reign on the throne and we are keen and feverishly working hard on winning the title to honour him for all that he has done for us,” W.O Tandoh said in the interview monitored by Ghanaweb.
Aduana Stars will host King Faisal in their next game at the Nana Agyeman Badu II Park.
