Board member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Vincent Sowah Odotei has admitted the club was sure of a victory over New Edubiase when the pair met at either sides first game of the 2015/16 Ghana premier league season.

Hearts got their 2015/16 Ghana premier league off to a flying start after the rainbow club defeated Edubiase who had been victorious in their last two meetings at the Accra sports stadium. The fans were well represented in their thousands cheering on the players and new head coach, Kenichi Yatshuashi who was making his competitive debut in Ghana football.

Vincent Odotei who doubles as the head of the famous ‘strategic committee’ after the game revealed the preparations towards the game gave them much assurance a secured win and nothing else.

In an interview with sportscrusader.com, Odotei said, “we are happy at least the most important thing is we got the needed three points and many will testify they have not seen this kind of Hearts in a very long time. With the kind of preparation the team went though I knew we were going to win the game.

Hearts travel to Tarkwa to play Medeama SC in their second game of the season on Sunday at the Tarkwa T&A park.
