Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum says the club will attack the transfer market early so they can get the players they want.

The Porcupine Warriors will need to sign a lot of players after clearing out as many as 18 players in less than 24 hours.

The decision has surprised many but it is said to be part of a rebuilding process the club is embarking on ahead of the new season.

Reviewing the club’s season, Ogum was straightforward about the type of players the club is aiming to sign for the new season.

“We need to actually go out there as early as possible to make sure that the signings we want, or the players we want to sign, we get them.

“This time, not players from lower divisions, but players who have experience in the Premier League. So these are basically some of the things that we also need to do.”

Kotoko finished the season in sixth place with 49 points, 12 points behind champions Samartex.
