"We will build on victory"- Afranie

Accra, Oct 3, GNA - Coach of struggling Tudu Mighty Jets, Emmanuel Kwesi Afranie says his debutants will get better after recording their first win in five games.

Jets held on tight to post a bitter pill down the throat of Premier League leaders, Kessben when they chalked a 2-1 win, their first in five games after the two sides met at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra on Sunday and Coach Afranie says their best has just begun.

The relieved coach who had lived under amazing pressure from the supporters for beginning the league poorly told GNA Sports in a post-match that "we will build on this result and keep the ascendancy." Coach Afranie said the victory was exceptional, especially because it was against the league leaders, Kessben FC who had already beaten both Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko. Jets' victory was made sweater especially because they played more than an hour of the game with a weak numerical strength after their experienced defender, Isaac Amadu Bodoug was sent off for a horrific challenge on Kessben's Lanquaye Anum.

The coach said his team was growing better in the area of tactical discipline and was optimistic they have hit their stride well in time to keep climbing the victory ladder.

Coach Afranie told GNA Sports his team had struggled with inexperience and claimed their resilience would make up for that defect as they continue their search for premiership survival. The Coach was buoyant his charges have acquired the right confidence in the victory to propel them in the League. "I'm very pleased with how they composed themselves even with a man down. They are playing very well and we will get better as we try to shake off the inexperience." Jets will be on the road to Obuasi to face Ashgold in a mid-week encounter.
