Hearts of Oak Hearts of Oak

The Administrative Manager of Accra Hearts of Oak has indicated that his side is not satisfied with the refusal of the organisers of the league to settle the cash prize due them for finishing 3 in the 2013-14 First Capital Plus Premier League.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko emerged as the champions of the 2013-14 Ghana Premier League season, with Heart of lions and Accra Hearts of Oak, placing second and third.

The organisers of the league promised to give out a cash prize to these clubs, but according to the Hackman Aidoo, who doubles as the Administrative Manager cum Finance officer of the Accra based side, they have not been paid that amount, so will storm the awards gala to create confusion.

“We realized that the FA and First Capital Plus Bank want to take us for granted, because they have refused to pay the Prize money for placing 3 last season,” he told O’tec FM.

“After waiting for some time we went to First Capital Plus Bank to request for our money, but they told us that payment has been made to the PLB. However, the PLB also says otherwise, so we were confused what the truth of the matter was, compelling us to write to the GFA for clarification, but they failed to respond.

“We (Hearts of Oak) will write to the GFA the last time to demand for the
GHC 10,000 prize money for placing 3, but if they think there is no need to pay the money they should tell us.

“We are giving them up to the next awards night, because it was during similar awards night that a dummy cheque was presented to us, so we will send our officers to collect the money during the next awards night”.
