Karela United’s prolific attacker, Darlington Gyanfosu has said, his side will surprise AshantiGold in front of their home fans by defeating them in the Normalization Committee (NC) Special Competition semi-final clash on Sunday.

Karela United would play away to Ashanti Gold in the NC Special Competition Tier One at the Obuase Len Clay Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Speaking in an interview with GNA Sports, the attacker said, “We would be going all out, because this is a crucial semi-final encounter and it’s against one of the best teams in the country Ashgold”.

The former Nea Salamina star said, playing against the miners at the Len Clay Stadium was always tough but they won’t be intimidated by the home supporters.

“We lost in our last game away to Ashgold in their stadium, but this time we won’t be intimidated by their supporters. Football is full of uncertainty and anything can happen so we are going into the game with the aim of winning”, he added.

The play maker said, the spirit in camp was very high because the management of the club were doing their best to motivate the players and the supporters to rally behind them as they aim at beating Ashgold.

The winner of the NC Tier One competition would represent Ghana in the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) champions league.
