We will work hard to achieve our target - Meteors skipper tells Ambassador

Ghana U-23 Captain, Yaw Yeboah has assured Ghana’s Ambassador to Egypt, Winfred Nii Okai Hammond the team will strive to make the nation proud at Africa U23 Cup of Nations.

The Black Meteors is making its debut appearance at the continental gathering and will be eyeing one of the three slots to book qualification to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Ahead of their opening group match against Cameroon on Friday, the Ambassador paid a courtesy call on the Black Meteors to pledge the embassy’s support throughout their stay in Egypt.

After the Ambassador’s words of motivation to the team, Skipper Yaw Yeboah expressed gratitude on behalf of his teammates;

“We seeing you here is a motivation to us. We are also going to assure you that we will work hard in achieving our target. We like the confidence you have shown in us and we assure you that we will do our best to qualify”
