Black Stars captain, Mohammed Kudus has assured Ghanaians that players are committed to working tirelessly to restore the national team to its former glory.
This is contained in a letter apologising to Ghanaians for the uninspiring performance of the Black Stars in the doubleheader against Sudan in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
In the letter, Mohammed Kudus said, “We want to assure Ghanaians that we are committed to learning from our mistakes, regrouping, and working tirelessly to restore the Black Stars to our former glory. We value the unwavering support and loyalty you've shown us, and we're determined to make you proud once again.”
The new Black Stars captain further urged all fans to stand by the team during their challenging period.
“Your encouragement and faith in us will fuel our determination to succeed. We will not give up. We look forward to redeeming ourselves in the upcoming matches,” Mohammed Kudus said in the letter.
Following the draw and defeat to Sudan in Group F, the Black Stars are on the brink of missing out on qualification for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
