Weekend High Life Festival Awaits Black Stars Win

The Black Stars of Ghana one to nothing defeat suffered at the hands of the German national soccer side in the ongoing FIFA world Cup tournament in South Africa was nothing to celebrate by Ghanaians.

But despite the defeat, thousands of Ghanaians resident in Toronto troop to the popular Ghanaian Restaurants PANAFEST AND THE POINT, both on Jane and Wilson to partake in an organized celebration bash.

They had no reason to celebrate the one to nothing defeat they suffered in the match they played against the Germans but the mere fact that the Black Stars have qualified to next stage 1/16 alone brought a lot of joy to many soccer fans to celebrate over the performance of the national team in the ongoing tournament. Usually clad in their national colours, men and women, young and old as well as boys and girls gathered in their numbers at Jane and Wilson immediately after the match to dance to music and funny jokes by certain DJs. Speaking this reporter, the owner of the PANAFEST and THE POINT restaurants, Mr. Tony Kanakam, described the performance of the Blacks so far as looking at where they were coming from and where they have reached making it a divine appointment or encounter for all Africans to see the manifestation of the spoken God has open the flood gates to retrieve for mother Africa and Ghana has taken the lead as the Golden gate of Africa since everywhere you go is all about Ghana.

‘Our boys have really brightened the corner where they are as the saying goes that every where mother Ghana is it shines so Ghana is shining and I thank the players for haven brought us far and whether win or loss we are going to celebrate over their performances so far.

Mr. Tony Kankam, was full of praise to fellow Ghanaians who have been trooping to his restaurant anytime to celebrate because they have always comported themselves which tells the whole world that Ghanaians have good leadership by which we are using to educate the youth how to behave well in the community.

As to why the Black Stars was down by zero to one to the Germans but Ghanaians came over to jubilate whether he has been organizing parties for the people, Mr.Kakam said throughout his life his style has been celebrating and he has been organizing the bash for residents to enjoy because whether lose or win Ghana will be Ghana and therefore the people have to celebrate.

The hospitality industrialist won’t buy the idea that there has been a unity among Africans in the country saying” before the tournament, there was a lot of disunity among Africans here. But just at the kick of the tournament you can now see a Nigerian, Ghanaian, and Ivorian all coming together meaning soccer can bring about peace.

“If I were to be world Billionaire, I would have solved the world violence by using soccer to bring peace into the whole world because just about a month now every body’s attention is on the tournament with rebels laying their ammunitions” he declared.

With this typical example Mr.Kankam, called on peace makers to consider using soccer to broker peace in areas where there is no peace among people and in Ghana where there is no peace currently the leadership should immediately use soccer to bring peace and togetherness among the people.

Mr. Tony Kamkam, called on all African leaders to rise up and put their differences aside and put their simple ideas together to make the continent far better than it is now if soccer is what they can use to bring all Africans together then Kudos to soccer.

Ghanaians resident in Toronto were invited to join him to celebrate the awaiting victory of the Black Stars on Saturday over High Life music, Sukusuku,no Reggae and Funky because it is time for Africa to celebrate and everything must be African.
