English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion have joined in the chase for Ghana defender Andy Yiadom.

The right back who is sought after by several clubs in England, including Swansea City is likely to leave Championship side Barnsley in the January transfer window.

According to reports in England, Swansea City have moved close to signing the Ghanaian.

The Mirror reports that the Tykes had wanted £3 million for the right-back, but will now lower that price as he enters the final six months of his contract at Oakwell, and Swansea are ready to take advantage of that fact.

Meanwhile, West Brom manager Tony Pulis is worried with the form of right back Allan Nyom, hence the reason he wants to sign the Ghanaian.

Nyom has been poor on the right of the defence this season and was particularly unimpressive when the Baggies faced the Swans in an absolutely crucial game near the bottom of the Premier League table at the weekend.

West Brom are ready to match Swansea's price for the Ghanaian.
