Head coach of the Sudanese national team, James Kwasi Appiah, has stated that he does not rule out taking over the Black Stars as head coach in the future.
He explained that finances and monetary terms will not influence his decision to return as Black Stars coach, even if a contract of $1 million a week is offered to him.
Appiah noted that his passion and desire as a coach will be key in determining his future.
Speaking on the BKB show, Appiah said that his focus remains on the Sudanese national team for now and not on returning as Black Stars coach.
“Maybe as a professional coach I should not be going there [whether to coach Black Stars again or not]. I do not need to worry myself with anything.
"Is it the $1m that will be given to me every week? What will that do? At my age, I don’t value money; I do things from my heart,” he told Bright Kankam Boadu.
Kwasi Appiah qualified war-torn Sudan to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco at the expense of Ghana.
