Why I deserve Ghana job - Dadzie

Kuuku Dadzie Kuuku Dadzie

Former Ghana international Kuuku Dadzie has justified, but only by words, why he is the best of four local coaches to have applied for the vacant Black Stars job.

The ex-defender, together with Bashir Hayford, Karim Abdul Razak, and Kwesi Appiah, is among a reported 95 coaches to have submitted their CVs to the Ghana Football Association for consideration.

The four-time champions are looking for a successor to coach Avram Grant, whose contract expired last month.

“I believe I am the best among the four local coaches who have applied for the job,” Dadzie told Kyzz FM.

“I trained under the late Ben Koufie and he touted me as a good coach and I believe in myself.

“I have coached most of the players before. I was with the team in1999 in New Zealand during the under-17 World Cup and I know most of the players.

“I have also handled some of the players at the Black Meteors level during the [2004] Olympic Games in Athens, so I will have no problem in coaching the Black Stars."

A shortlist of three to five candidates will soon be drafted for interviews, according to reports.

The new coach is expected to be named next month.
